Train the Trainers

A central objective of East Invest is to strengthen the capacity of EaP SMEs to operate internationally. This objective will be achieved in a 3-step process:

  • Train the Trainers: develop capacity within EaP business organisations to train SMEs
  • Train selected SMEs: deliver training to selected SMEs on internationalisation and EU legislation
  • Offer the opportunity for these SMEs to visit European trade fairs, develop commercial relationships and obtain further technical training

Members of the East Alliance will be invited to participate in these activities, as a beneficiary and/or to share their expertise.

In case of the “train the trainers” seminars, 20 representatives from the EaP business support organisations are invited for a double training package: one module will focus on the EU Acquis Communautaire (relevant EU legislation and policies), the second one will focus on the internationalisation of SMEs.

The main objective of this training is to develop the necessary skills within these BSOs to organise further training – on the same subject – to their SMEs.

Each module is to last for 3 days, with trainers coming from the EU partner organisations (selected by EUROCHAMBRES).

One module is to be hosted by an East Invest partner from the Caucasus, the other one is to be organised in the “northern” group. Each module is to gather the same 20 BSO representatives from all 6 countries.

The 2 modules should be organised in June 2011, and all relevant documents are being put at the disposal of the partner organisations in the “members only” section of the website.
