Trade Fairs - B2B

The presence on international markets is an important element in ensuring companies’ competitiveness. Even in today’s digital era, the physical presence at dedicated trade fairs and personal contacts with potential business partners are crucial for moving ahead with a company’s internationalisation.

East Invest contributes to the physical presence and personal contacts with its B2B package for EaP SMEs.

The East Invest B2B package comprises several elements:

  • An East Invest pavillon for the participating companies
  • High visibility thanks to a company catalogue and PR activities
  • Organisation of B2B meetings, enabling EaP SMEs to meet with potential European business partners
  • Sector relevant technical visits

The service will be organised in close link with the most important trade fairs in Europe – important to attract European companies for the matching – and involve a group of selected European project partners for organising the programme.

The detailed programme will vary from fair to fair, but is to include the following features:

  • briefing of the group, the evening before the fair
  • official welcome event/reception at the East Invest stand
  • short seminar (1/2 day) with relevant speakers from the sector
  • 1 day pre-organised B2B meetings at the fair
  • debriefing

The East Invest pavillon at the fair will offer participating EaP companies the possibility to present their products and services. It will furthermore include meeting facilities where the EaP companies can engage in discussions with European counterparts. In this way, visibility for the East Invest programme and the region in general will be created.

A dedicated company catalogue will be developed for the participating SMEs from the EaP countries, outlining their products and areas for cooperation (import, export, investment, joint venture…). The catalogue will be disseminated during the trade fair and among the European partner organisations for them to disseminate it among member companies who are likely to attend the selected fair.

As a complement to the B2B and meetings at the fair, the group will be offered a 1 day technical visit in the region, relevant for their sector. Again, the contents will vary for each group, but typically will include visits to relevant sector institutes, “best practise” companies from the sector, etc.

Participation in the B2B module is reserved to SMEs from the 6 Eastern Partnership countries that have successfully taken part in the East Invest SME seminars.
Interested companies are invited to contact the national focal point in their respective country for further information regarding the participation in the East Invest activities.
